With Learning Progressions, you can INCREASE the amount of students you meet with and support ALL of them with the right writing strategies they need no matter if they are below, at, or above grade level!
<<< Here's a quick review of what you are going to learn in this video training. >>>
In this 1-hour video training that I did for our Unstoppable Literacy Teacher Club educators, you will learn how to:
Create a flexible weekly learning progression strategy group schedule that will have you DOUBLING the amount of students you meet with every day.
Learn ways to keep your learning progression charts flexible to meet ALL your students needs.
Design learning progression charts (that are in kid-friendly language with a brief description and visual) that students can use to set goals, practice strategies, and track their own growth as a reader.
Carefully choose positive words that foster a growth mindset to represent each level on your learning progression so that you build up your students' confidence as a reader or writer.
I will also show you several examples such as:
What a weekly learning progression strategy group schedule could look like so you can keep track of when you are meeting with students and what the focus skill or strategy is.
Several student learning progression charts, that other teachers I have worked with, created themselves that are focused on the writing skills & strategies on the rubric or checklists from the Writing Units of Study by Lucy Calkins.
